HONG KONG, March 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — CreAsia Studio, founded by Deepak Dhar and Banijay Entertainment, today announced the launch of My Chef in Crime, an innovative mystery series that blends forensics with Indonesian cuisine. The 8-part series was commissioned by VISION+ and marks a milestone for CreAsia. CreAsia brings together a talented team of creatives to create new script formats that are inspired by the local Southeast Asian context.

“My Chef in Crime” is a series planned and produced by CreAsia Studio, and is the brainchild of Thai producer Pornmanus Rattanavich and screenwriter Nitikarn Pinmuangngarm. The series is directed by Indonesian director Sondang Pratama, set against the backdrop of diverse Asian food culture, and combines crime solving with culinary science.

CreAsia Studio, which was established last year, not only focuses on local collaboration and original content creation, but also produces Banijay IP and third-party adaptations for the Southeast Asian market. Early next year, VISION+ will officially launch My Chef in Crime. My Chef in Crime tells the story of a former forensic investigator who now works as a chef. When he was accused of murdering a rival, he used food science to clear his name. He teams up with his high school crush and current detective to solve the case. Production on the series will begin in Indonesia this summer.
